Man Of The Sea shed his maiden tag when landing the Come Racing 11th November Nursery Handicap at Navan recently, when moving to the front inside the final furlong before scoring by a length and a quarter from Mi Esperanza. Ridden on this occasion by Billy Lee.
Lee, riding his 46th winner this season, later commented “he jumped and traveled well. There was plenty of pace on and I was able to sit off it in a nice position. He came off the hill and went forward, and when I got stuck into him he went to the line well.
“He was having a little bit of a look but he’s had plenty of runs this year and the experience stood to him. He’s done it well and hopefully there is another race in him.”
