Romanised will head to Royal Ascot in just over a weeks’ time and we are hopeful he can raise his game again for the Queen Anne Stakes.
We were very happy with his run in the Lockinge last month, finishing fourth with less than 4 lengths separating him from the winner. He has come out of the race in good shape and the straight mile at Ascot should suit him well and play to his strengths.
He’s one that might step up in trip later in the season and needs good ground. In the Lockinge, he levelled out and just stayed going, it was very pleasing.
Celtic Beauty, a nice filly by No Nay Never will also take her chances in Royal Ascot, in the Albany Stakes.
She ran a promising third in Naas on debut in late April and subsequently finished a close up third in a Group 3 event again at Naas a few weeks later. She’s still a maiden but it was a very good run to be just beaten by Etoile and Peace Charter.
She made her challenge up the outside and had improved a lot from her first to her second run. Hopefully, she can improve again as she’s a nice filly with a bit of talent.
Success Days is now headed for the Group 3 La Coupe at Longchamp next Monday 10th June. Now a seven-year-old, it’s his last season. He has been a great servant to the yard and ran a great race to finish third in the Group 2 Huxley Stakes in Chester where he got the soft ground he needed.
Closer to home, work is almost complete on the yard and is taking great shape. The indoor has been a great addition. Painting is finished; we are just waiting on our Landscaper now!! 🤔
