Romanised and Success Days both set to run in the Prix Jacques Le Marois

Romanised is set to take his place in the line-up for the Prix Jacques Le Marois in Deauville this Sunday following his win in the Paddy Power Minstrel Stakes (Group 2) at the Curragh on the 20^thof July. “It was lovely to see that win. Billy was delighted with him and he said when the gap came, he quickened up very smartly. He said when he got to the front he was always just doing enough. I thought it was a lovely performance” He’s gone very professional this year, more relaxed and easier to deal with.

“We didn’t want to leave it that there could be a false, muddling pace, so that’s why Success Days goes to the Prix Jacques Le Marois as well. He has a job to do and hopefully both of them get there all right and we’ll see what happens,”

“Both horses seem well and Romanised has been running to a good level all year. He ran a good race in the Lockinge and ran well in Ascot, where he was maybe a bit unlucky. He didn’t get the splits when he needed them and he might have finished a little bit closer but for that,”

“He backed that up with a very good performance over a fast-run seven furlongs at the Curragh. He won well in a good time that day and we’ve been very happy with him since.

“Hopefully there’ll be plenty of pace on, as I think it’s pretty obvious by now Romanised is at his best when there’s a good gallop. I’d imagine Vocal Music will go forward for Study Of Man and Success Days will ensure it’s at least an even gallop, so we’ll see what happens after that.

“Romanised certainly seems in good form and hopefully he can put up another good performance.”
